The Tracks panel on the right lists every instrument in the song and lets you mute, solo, hide and reorder them while you play. Nothing you change here is saved to the file, so experiment freely; to keep a setup, use the MIDI Playback Editor.

Open and close the panel
The panel opens by itself when you load a song. Close it with the arrow at its edge; when closed, click the Tracks panel icon to bring it back. To keep it out of the way while you play, turn on Close panels on playback in Settings → Practice.
Track controls
Each track shows its colour line, instrument name, track number, MIDI channel and instrument program, plus four buttons:
Button | What it does |
M Mute | Silences the track. Its notes still fall on the roll. |
S Solo | Plays only this track, and any others set to solo. |
Show in roll | Hides or shows the track’s notes on the piano roll. The track keeps playing. |
Lit on keyboard | Chooses whether the track’s notes light up the keyboard. On by default for piano and keys tracks. |
During playback each track’s colour line works as a small level meter, rising with the notes it plays, so you can see which instruments are sounding without opening the mixer. Turn this off with Track color VU meters in Settings → Editing.

Button | What it does |
Hide all / Show all | Clears every track off the piano roll in one click, so you can bring back only the ones you want to study. Stays in sync with the same button in the Console Mixer. |
Focus | Switches between all tracks and piano, bass and drums only. See Focus Mode. |
The icon rail
The narrow strip along the panel’s edge opens the editing tools:
Use case: play the melody yourself
Mute the melody track but keep it shown on the roll, then play it on your own keyboard while the rest of the band plays along.
