This is the full list of keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures in Orfeo, grouped by where they work. Plain clicks on visible buttons are left out; only combinations and gestures you wouldn’t guess from the screen are listed.
Tip
Shortcuts don’t fire while you are typing in a text field, such as the library search or a rename box. Click on the piano roll first if a shortcut seems to do nothing.
Everywhere
Shortcut | Action |
| Play or pause. Ignored while the Chords or Scales Explorer is open. During a Count-in it cancels the count-in. While you tap in a Tap Tempo session it’s a tap; once the result shows, it plays and pauses so you can listen back. |
| Step to the next note or chord with Step Through. While the song plays, stops on the next note. |
| Step back to the previous note or chord. |
| Jump to the first note of the next or previous bar. |
| Stop playback. During a Count-in it cancels the count-in. During a Tap Tempo session it cancels the session instead. If Presentation Mode, the Settings window, an Explorer or the Lock-A-Chord window is open, that closes first and playback keeps going. |
